Here's where we tell you what's happening at our club.

TAVERN TEAMS UP WITH SHRINERS

Recently the Big Star Tavern and Package Store held a fundraiser for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Shriners cooked more than 200 hams, and Big Star had a Poker Run, 50/50 drawing, sold plate lunches, and had tip jars just for the hospital located in their places of business.

The result of all that work netted the hospital $2,500.It was a tremendous success, and will be an annual event, with plans already being made for this year.

A big "Thank You" to all who helped, but especially to all those who purchased the hams, and donated money.

The photo shows some of the certificates presented to Big Star, and also the presentation of the check to the Autauga County Shrine Club.
